My Story

Welcome to JuJu’s Kids Boutique!

I’m Maria, the owner of JuJu’s, and I’m so happy you’re here.

JuJu’s Kids Boutique has been part of the New Orleans community for more than 15 years, and what started as a love for creating has grown into something I am incredibly proud of.

I started sewing many years ago. I loved working with fabric, creating things with my own hands, and finding ways to make something special. Over time, that love of sewing grew into a love for children’s clothing, fashion, and finding fun things for kids.

That passion is still at the heart of JuJu’s today.

My Three Kids Are My Best Critics

I’m a mom of three, and my kids are a huge part of JuJu’s.

When I’m choosing clothing, toys, accessories, gifts, or anything else for the shop, my kids help me pick it out.

I want JuJu’s to carry things that children actually get excited about. My kids help me know what is fun, what is cool, and what kids really want.

Sometimes I’ll see something and think, “This is adorable!”

Then I show my kids.

If my kids love it, I know I’ve found something special.

That’s why I like to think of everything at JuJu’s as kid-approved.

JuJu’s Is Personal to Me

Being a mom has shaped so much of who I am, both personally and as a business owner.

One of my children has a heart condition, and my family has personally experienced the incredible care provided by Ochsner.

Ochsner was able to help my child, and that experience has stayed with me.

It made me realize even more how important it is to support families going through difficult times. When your family needs help, having people and organizations who care can mean everything.

Because of my own family’s experience, giving back to families facing heart-related health challenges is very close to my heart.

A portion of JuJu’s proceeds goes back to help local families facing similar challenges.

For me, giving back isn't just something I want my business to do.

It’s personal.

Proudly Woman-Owned

JuJu’s is proudly woman-owned, and I’m incredibly proud of what I have built.

Running a small business while being a mom isn't always easy, but it has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.

Every time I choose something for the shop, I think about the kids who will wear it, play with it, give it as a gift, or fall in love with it the moment they see it.

I want JuJu’s to feel different.

I want it to feel fun, colorful, exciting, and a little unexpected.

I want kids to walk through the door and immediately find something that makes them smile.

And I want parents and grandparents to find those special pieces that make shopping for children just as much fun for the grown-ups.

More Than a Kids' Store

At JuJu’s, you’ll find children's clothing, toys, accessories, books, gifts, New Orleans favorites, and plenty of things that are simply too fun to leave behind.

I love finding unique products that you won't see everywhere else.

Some are classic.

Some are colorful and playful.

Some celebrate New Orleans and Louisiana.

And some are just those completely unexpected things that make a child say, “I want that!”

That is exactly what I want JuJu’s to be.

A place to discover something fun.

A place to find the perfect gift.

A place to shop for your own kids.

And a place where I can share the things I love with other families.

Thank You for Being Part of JuJu’s

After more than 15 years, I am still incredibly grateful every time someone walks through the doors of JuJu’s or places an order online.

Every purchase supports my small, woman-owned business and helps me continue doing something I truly love.

It also allows me to give back to families who are going through some of the same difficult experiences my family has faced.

Thank you for supporting JuJu’s.

Thank you for supporting a small business.

Thank you for letting me share my love of children's fashion, creating, and all things fun with your family.

Most of all, thank you for being part of the JuJu’s story.

I hope you come visit us, find something you love, and experience the fun.
